Speaker Meet-ups 2026
Meet the best: At our Speaker Meet-ups, participants have the opportunity to engage in personal exchange with the Morning Stage speakers, dive deeper into the topics, and clarify any open questions.
Dr Florence Gaub is one of the leading voices when it comes to future conflicts, global security and geopolitical developments. At the intersection of geopolitical analysis, strategic forecasting and global security, she translates complex developments into clear future scenarios.
As Research Director of NATO’s Defense College in Rome, she advises international governments and organisations – with the aim of providing guidance in an increasingly uncertain world. Prior to that, she was Deputy Director of the EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) and played a key role in shaping the European security policy discourse.
The German-French political scientist combines academic excellence with practical experience: as a reserve officer in the French Army and through her international studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Sciences Po Paris, the Sorbonne and the University of Munich.
With her bestselling books – most recently ‘Zukunft. Eine Bedienungsanleitung’ (The Future: A User's Guide) and ‘Szenario: Die Zukunft steht auf dem Spiel’ (Scenario – The Future is at Stake), both published by dtv – she is making a topic that often remains abstract more tangible: the future itself.
Her mission: to identify threats early, assess developments and highlight opportunities to ensure we don’t just react to changes, but actively shape them.
More information about the 2026 Speaker Meet-Ups and registration will be announced at the end of August.
